We welcome all comers, whether you are a singer, a musician, an audience member, or a friend, please feel free to drop by and participate in our growing community… or just pop by to see what this event is about!

How It Works:

If you would like to perform / need accompaniment:

1) Before the event, sign up via the Facebook / Meetup event page and post the song name and artist in the comments (up to 2 songs) [if not, no guarantee musicians know the song]
2) Talk to Alwin/ David at the event to get in the queue. They will queue performers up to perform 1 to 2 songs (depending on the length of the queue). In the spirit of live music, backing tracks are not allowed.
3) Queue early and please be patient! The line can get pretty long as many people are eager to perform (almost 50 songs a night)

- Equipment available: mics, digital piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, and a full drum kit. Feel free to use all or any of the above when performing.

- Host and other attendees are free to help play songs for others; if you want to perform a more obscure song, please post it so musicians can learn it! We encourage playing as a band and building musical rapport, but you can choose to perform solo or as a fixed group. Feel free to ask to play with the performers if you know the song well.

- Respect and support musicians and their songs; some people are first-time performers!

- If you appreciate what we do and the spirit of this event, please support us by ordering delicious food and refreshing drinks.

See you all there!

Be part of this growing community of music lovers!

This event is honestly one of the best thing about HK nowadays. The crowd is so supportive and encouraging. The musicians are so generous with their talent and play for anyone without prejudice.. it’s really heart warming! Music really does bring people together!

I’m now learning to play the drums and find that these open mics are a great way to challenge myself and to grow as a musician. It’s an amazingly supportive community and I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from and jam with such generous and talented people!
